The End
Thank You very much for reading my adventures through Europe. It was always nice to know people cared about what I was up to. Enjoy these last couple posts!
London: The Beginning of the Amazing Adventure
London was the meeting place for Emily, our friends from Germany and I. Emily and I took a boat ride down to Kew Gardens, met with Wesley--a friend from Purdue, had dinner with Meg and her mom---who had just returned from a trip through Ireland, and saw all the sights with Jens and Jessica. It was a fun time, but London is so expensive so we were ready to leave after a couple days.

Colonge, Dortmund, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Munich
From London Em, Jens, Jessica and I flew to Colonge, walked around the city, picked up their car and drove back to their house in Dortmund. We visited with the family for a few days. From there Jens drove Emily and I to Berlin, Prague, Vienna, and Munich. From Munich Jens had to leave us, so Em and I took trains to Zurich, Sienna(Italy), and Milan then flew to Alicante. We had to fly back through London to head to the US---not fun! It was an amazing 3 weeks, but the constant traveling was very tiring by the end. The following pictures are from our trip with Jens...the pictures from Zurich and after are in blogs following...there was a problem with the listing of blogs, so the blog of my final trip with the program is mixed in between this trip. Have fun looking!
A Holocaust Memorial
Checkpoint Charlie
The World Clock
A Piece of the Berlin Wall
This may be my Favorite Photo of the Trip--the position of these 2 are perfect. Freiheit....means something along the lines of "Freedom for Everyone" She owns a wonderful Currywurst Shop---delicious...we started talking with her and found out she was born in AZ, moved to Germany when she was little and has since married an Italian man. She is fluent in English, German and Italian. Her dad still lives in Tucson = she's a cool lady
Prague:
The only plus side to driving in Czech was the scenery...my recommendation: Never drive in Prague! This was one of the many taxi drivers, hotel personal, and pedestrians that knew NO English, German or Spanish, had no idea where a gas station was, and couldn't help us find our hotel.
H2O was twice the amount of this beer=we barely had enough money to pay for lunch.
A Frank Gehry building
Colonge:
-The men at this kebab place
Dortmund:
these chairs were set up for the world cup
just a little bit windy/freezing
Getting the Golf ready before the long drive..

Vienna:
this schnitzel was bigger than me...half of it was still bigger than the plate
The sweetest public benches/chairs I've ever seen
Munich:
the Futbol Stadium
The amount of bikes in Munich was Lovely
Beer Garden
Having Jens drive and accompany us through these countries made all the difference. It was great to have someone who knew the general area and langauge. We were sad to leave him, but Zurich was calling us!
